The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is one of the economic classes processed under the Express Entry system. To be eligible under the CEC, the principal applicant must meet the following minimum requirements:

You must:
 have at least 12 months of full-time [30 hours per week for 12 months] or an equal amount in part-time [15 hours per week for 24 months] skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,
 have gained your experience in Canada with the proper authorization,
 plan to live outside the province of Quebec.
 meet the minimum language level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 for NOC 0

or A jobs OR Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 for NOC B jobs, based on the results of the:
o General test from the IELTS (www.ielts.org ) OR
o General test from CELPIP (www.celpip.ca ) AND/OR
o General test from French TEF (http://www.centredelanguefrancaise.paris/tests-diplomes/test-evaluation- francais-tef/tef- Canada/ )

Note:

Self-employment and work experience gained while you were a full-time student (for example, on a co-op work term) does not count under this program.

Note:

There is no education requirement for Canadian Experience Class. But, if you want to earn points for your education under Express Entry, you either need:
 a Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree, OR
 a completed foreign credential and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from an agency approved by the Immigration department. The report must show your foreign education is equal to a completed Canadian credential.

Note:

Skilled work experience means:
 Managerial jobs (NOC skill level 0)
 Professional jobs (NOC skill type A)
 Technical jobs and skilled trades (NOC skill type B)

Medical, security and other requirements
 You and your family members must have a medical exam done and get police certificates.
 You must also show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada
